01Make a request
Pick the one that matches what you want. Each opens a message addressed to our privacy desk with the details we need already written out.
Do not sell or share my personal information
Stops employers and any other third party from being given access to your profile. You stay in our records only so that we can honor this instruction.
Delete me entirely
Removes your profile from AS9 and instructs every client who accessed it to delete their copy. We keep only your contact identifier, so that we can recognize you and never source you again.
Show me what you have
A copy of everything we hold about you, where each piece of it came from, and the list of anyone we have disclosed it to. We answer within forty-five days.
You do not need an account, and you do not need to tell us why. We never charge for a request, never make the experience worse for people who make one, and never require you to create a login in order to leave.
02Why this page exists
AS9 charges employers for access to professional profiles. Under California law and several others, giving a third party access to personal information in exchange for money may count as a sale or a sharing, whatever the intent behind it.
Rather than take a narrow reading and hope, we assume the definition applies to us and offer the opt-out to everyone who asks, in every state, including states whose laws do not require it.
We do not sell your information to data brokers, we do not sell it for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone outside the employers who use our products to hire.
03Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing for that browser and act on it automatically. You do not have to also fill anything in.
The readout above tells you what your current browser is sending us right now.
Because the signal lives in the browser, it applies to the browser rather than to you. To cover every device, send us the request as well.
04Authorized agents and other people's requests
You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We will ask for written permission signed by you, and we may ask you to confirm it directly.
A parent or guardian may make a request on behalf of a minor. Our services are not directed to anyone under eighteen, so if we hold information about a child we want to know.
We may ask for enough information to be reasonably confident you are who you say you are. Whatever you send for that purpose is used for verification only and then discarded.
05If we say no
We will tell you why in writing, and we will tell you what you can do about it. Several state laws give you the right to appeal a refusal, and we honor that right everywhere rather than only where it is written down.
To appeal, reply to our response with the word appeal in the subject. A different person reviews it and answers within forty-five days.
